Town and Opal Field Tour

Your questions answered.  The tour is informative and funny, you will hear incredible stories about our old timers as we drive across the field.  We stop at different points to hear about opal mining, the secretive industry and how it still operates today as it did way back then. Learn about opals, about the dugouts and what this town and life here is all about. Here about the hardships of living remote outback amongst the dust and especially the underground living and what that is like and how it came to be.

You dont need a 4WD.

Please bring water and a hat - there isnt a lot of walking but it is hot out there.  We leave early in summer to avoid the hottest parts of the day.
